Langmeil, 13.10.2021 – According to preliminary figures, MOBOTIX AG achieved product-related sales of € 61 million and an operating result, EBIT of € 1.0 million in the fiscal year 2020/21 ending on 30 September 2021. Backlog of orders received but not shipped was € 1.1 million. The recent full-year forecast of € 62-64 million for product-related sales and € 1.5-2.5 million for EBIT was published 12th May 2021.
 

The first half of fiscal year 2020/21 was characterized by challenging market conditions especially in the region Asia-Pacific (APAC), where many regional markets suffered from several and repeated lockdowns due to COVID-19-pandemic. Particularly the project business (e.g. hotels, shopping malls) experienced declines that could not be compensated.

 
Sales increased in DACH, Nordic markets and Middle East compared to previous fiscal year and in line with expectations. MOBOTIX was able to achieve market position number 3 in Germany according to research data of Novaira (Report of September 2021).

MOBOTIX recorded 10.7% product-related sales increase during fiscal year 2019/20 primarily driven by increased thermal camera sales focused on COVID-19 control during lock-downs in many markets worldwide. The demand for thermal cameras declined in course of the fiscal year 2020/21 as vaccinations were implemented globally.

Growth in vertical market solutions regained, however, during Q4 2020/21 with sales increase of 4.4% compared to Q4 in the previous fiscal year.
