MOBOTIX AG ended the first six months of the fiscal year 2018/19 with a strong increase in revenues and EBIT. At EUR 35.4 million, revenues in the first six months of the current fiscal year rose by 11.6 percent compared to the same period in the previous year. EBIT (earnings before interest and taxes) accounted for 6.6 percent of total operating performance, amounting to EUR 2.3 million for the reporting period. This represents an increase of EUR 3.1 million compared to the same period in the previous year (EUR -0.8 million). The first six months of 2018/19 thus ended with a return on sales of 4.2 percent (first six months of 2017/18: -2.4 percent).
As a result of the company’s positive development, Klaus Kiener, Chief Financial Officer at MOBOTIX, forecasts EBIT within a range of approximately EUR 1.4 million to EUR 2.0 million for the fiscal year 2018/19 as a whole. Accordingly, Kiener has revised the outlook from 7 May 2019 for the fiscal year 2018/19 of EUR 1.4 million upwards. The forecast for MOBOTIX’s five-year plan, which envisages sales of at least EUR 100 million and an EBIT margin of 12 percent by the fiscal year 2022/23, remains unchanged.
The MOBOTIX Management Board sees the positive development of the company as full confirmation of the strategy initiated in the fiscal year 2017/18. Among other things, MOBOTIX successfully met the challenges of the industry with the introduction of new camera lines, numerous software innovations, and strategic technology partnerships. In addition, an agreement was signed with Konica Minolta in March 2018 to further develop MOBOTIX hardware and software technology to provide innovative solutions and open up new markets.
