After installing a MOBOTIX HUB system, by installing MOBOTIX HUB Plug-Ins on the computer with MOBOTIX HUB Management Client, the connected Desk Clients can be extended by specific functions for e.g. the analysis of MOBOTIX IoT camera events.

The current value for <Plug-Ins-Version> is specified specifically for the MOBOTIX HUB Plug-Ins version described below that is to be installed.

To install and use each feature, different requirements must be met, which are described below.

Notes and Requirements for Using the MOBOTIX HUB Desk Client Search Agent Function

The Search Agent function extension of the HUB Desk Clients, which is available via the HUB Plug-In, is used to search for event data of MOBOTIX IoT cameras that have been integrated into the MOBOTIX HUB system via a device-specific MOBOTIX driver (select Mobotix M/D/V/S series).

This version supports the following search filters for data from apps of Mx7 camera models and from MOBOTIX events within the Forensic Search of the MOBOTIX HUB Desk Client:

• MOBOTIX Events (for cameras of the Mx6 and Mx7 model series)
• Vaxtor ALPR (also support MOVE 4K Bullet LPR Kamera)
• Vaxtor ALPR MMC (also supports MOVE 4K Bullet LPR camera) After selecting the search type VaxLPRMMC, further filter criteria such as brand, colour, etc. can be selected for the search. It is also possible to select search criteria and values that should be excluded from the search.

• Vaxtor USDOT
  After selecting the VaxUSDOT search type, you can also search for specific USDOT identification numbers.
• Vaxtor AIN Aircraft Identification Number
  After selecting the VaxAIN search type, you can also search for specific ICAO and FAA identification numbers.
• Vaxtor Containers
  Filtering by container code ID.
• Vaxtor Genesis

  After selecting the AIIncident search type, up to 5 different types of incidents can be selected for the search.
• NEW: C71 Camera NurseAssist Events for  "fall situation" like Man Down, In Bed and Out of the Bed!

Management Client extensions for configuring the functions:

The dialogue that can be opened via the MOBOTIX HUB Configuration > Forensic Search Filters entry below the Transact area in the tree structure of the Management Client has been extended so that all additional search filters for the installed MOBOTIX HUB Desk Clients can be (de)activated there.
Note: The above dialogue for (de)activating the additional search functions in the MOBOTIX HUB Desk Clients is only available after the plug-ins have been installed on the Management Client computer.

To do so, the following configuration steps must be performed in the IoT cameras and the MOBOTIX HUB beforehand.

Configuration in the MOBOTIX IoT camera

• To search for standard events of IoT cameras, no special configuration settings for the MOBOTIX HUB in the cameras are necessary.
• In order for the event data of Apps of the MOBOTIX 7 camera series to be used, the affected Apps must be configured in the MOBOTIX HUB Analytic Event area of the App's configuration dialog (e.g.  Vaxtor LPR Settings), by defining the following settings:

o   URL: <IP-Adresse des MOBOTIX HUB Management Server>:<Port-Nummer>

o   Camera Name: <IP address of the camera or camera name as defined in the HUB>

Configuration in the MOBOTIX HUB

To use the IoT camera events in the MOBOTIX HUB and the HUB Desk Clients, the following settings must be made in the HUB Management Client, depending on the event type:

For MOBOTIX 7 App Events

• Activation of the App events as Analytics Events in the Tools -> Options dialog.
  Attention: The same port number must be used as in the camera configuration in the URL field  (see above)!
• Setting the desired Retention Time (days) for the Analytics Events in the Alarms and Events tab of the Tools -> Options dialog
• Add an Analytics event with the appropriate name (e.g. VaxALPR On Camera Event) in the Area Rules and Events > Analytics Events in the tree structure of the HUB Management Client.
• Definition of a rule to start a recording in the Recording Server for the event in question.

Subsequently, the triggering of an Analytics event configured in this way leads to a recording in the Recording Server and the result data can be searched in the Desk Client.

For Standard IoT Events

• Setting the desired Retention time (days) for the Device Events in the Alarms and Events tab of the Tools -> Options dialog
• For each individual IoT camera whose standard events are to be processed in the HUB:
• Selection of the camera in the tree structure of the Servers > Recording Servers area
• Add and enable the relevant events for this camera in the Events tab

• Definition of rules for starting recording in the Recording Server for the previously defined events of the IoT cameras

Subsequently, the triggering of the IoT camera events configured in this way leads to a recording in the Recording Server and the result data can be searched in the Desk Client.

Notes and requirements for using the Desk Client Thermal Dashboard function

The Thermal Dashboard function extension of the HUB Desk Clients, available with the help of the HUB Plug-Ins, enables the visualization of measured temperature curves of MOBOTIX thermal cameras that have been integrated into  the MOBOTIX HUB system via the device-specific MOBOTIX driver (Mobotix M/D/V/S series selection).

Supported camera models with thermal sensor are:

• P3 Thermal Camera models: M15 and S15
• Mx6 Thermal Camera models: M16 and S16
• Mx7 Thermal Camera models: M73 and S74

Important: Cameras with ECO Thermal modules do not support temperature measurement and are therefore not supported.

To display the temperature profiles, the following configuration steps must first be carried out in the thermal cameras and the MOBOTIX HUB.

Configuration in the MOBOTIX Thermal Camera

• Configure the Thermal Measurement Window or Thermal Spot Meter in the camera.
• Activate general Arming of the camera.

Configuration in the MOBOTIX HUB

To use the Thermal Camera in the MOBOTIX HUB and a HUB Desk Client, the Plug-Ins package must be installed on the computer of the MOBOTIX HUB Management Client and on the corresponding computer with the MOBOTIX HUB Desk Client. The necessary configuration steps are described in the relevant section of the Plug-Ins_2023-03-21 Release Notes.

Notes and Requirements for Using the MOBOTIX SYNC Dashboard Function

In the Desk Client, MOBOTIX Sync dashboards can now be embedded in the layout, e.g. lists of recognised number plates or graphical evaluations of the registered car models. This requires that the separate application MOBOTIX SYNC is available and that corresponding dashboards have been created in the Grafana module of SYNC.

Necessary configuration steps besides the basic installation of MOBOTIX HUB, MOBOTIX HUB PlugIns and MOBOTIX Sync with Grafana extension are:

• Creating MOBOTIX SYNC Dashboards
• Configuring MOBOTIX SYNC user credentials in the Management Client of the Hub
• Combine camera layout in the MOBOTIX Desk Client with the desired dashboards.

Prerequisite:

• MOBOTIX Sync Version 1.0 or newer
• MOBOTIX HUB Plug-Ins 2023-06-30 or newer
• Activation of Basic Authentication in the MOBOTIX SYNC configuration.

Important: If the MOBOTIX HUB already contains a SYNC configuration, the admin has to explicitly enable the MOBOTIX SYNC tab in the Management Client (checkbox Display tab in Desk Client).

Notes and Requirements for Using MOBOTIX CLOUD cameras

In the Desk Client, cameras from the MOBOTIX CLOUD can now be embedded in the layout.

In addition to the installation of MOBOTIX HUB and MOBOTIX HUB PlugIns, the necessary configuration steps include access to cameras in a sub account of the MOBOTIX CLOUD.

Prerequisite:

• Access to the MOBOTIX CLOUD with a Sub Account user with appropriate access rights to the cameras.

Important: A MOBOTIX CLOUD Reseller Account cannot be used because it does not contain any cameras!

Notes and requirements for using the MOBOTIX NurseAssist Dashboard function

In the MOBOTIX HUB Desk Client, a camera layout with the new MOBOTIX NurseAssist element can be added as required in setup mode after installing the plug-in package. After inserting the MOBOTIX NurseAssist element, the "case status" of the linked "C71 NurseAssist" is displayed with a coloured icon tile in the layout. This allows the nursing staff in the "nurses' room" to have an overview of the "case situation" on their floor WITHOUT disturbing their privacy with a permanent live display. The tile view of the status tab can be switched to a live image if required.

The following main features are available to the user:

• Free dashboard embedding in the layout of the Desk Client of the NurseAssist element to graphically display the status of the C71 NurseAssist camera ("fall status") and thereby build a status tablaue of the conditions in the patient rooms
• In the standard view, only the status changes are displayed with coloured tiles to ensure maximum privacy for the patients Curve diagrams.
• If required, e.g. to assess a recognised fall, it is possible to switch the corresponding status tile to live bid mode.
• The nursing staff can also switch the status tile to live mode at the touch of a button during the night shift, for example, to protect the patient's sleep and carry out their rounds with a virtual view of the patient's room. The display of the "case status" is also shown in the live image mode using coloured bars. The mode can be cancelled by pressing a button.
• Free layout design: Combination of camera image and NurseAssist elements for a customised dashboard combination for e.g. live display of the emergency room entrance and the "fall status" status of the patient rooms.
• Patient information
• For each camera/room, notes on the patient and their treatment priorities can be stored in note form in the camera status element. Four categories are provided for this purpose, which can be easily distinguished by colour. Here, for example, the patient's name, medication intake, treatment focus and even the patient's personal preferences can be stored in text form by the nursing staff. This ensures a smooth handover between the nursing staff. This information can be shown or hidden per channel / overall.
• NEW: Patient Check-In Date. 
• Blur Slider
  With a slider element, care staff can make the live image of the room or rooms unrecognisable to strangers (for example the craftsman is in the Nurse room and repair something) in the virtual tour if required and still have an overview of the room. One slider is available per channel or one slider for the entire camera in the display.
• NurseAssist Log Tab
  All Nurse Assist activities, usage and opened alarms are recorded in the logbook. Search filters make it easier to analyse the log entries later. The log entries can be exported in CSV format or password-protected in ZIP format.
• Intercom function
  The care staff can communicate with the person in the room as required via the cameras' audio features. The operation is designed for Push to Talk/Push to Hear to prevent accidental listening in.
• Activity Report:
  A brand new function is the Activity Report, which provides a chronological review of the patient's behaviour. The question of whether a patient had a restful night or hardly got any sleep due to insomnia or frequent "having to" get out of bed, or conclusions about the adjustment of the medication dose to the sleep behaviour can be displayed over a time range using sequence or pie charts.
  Various view modes are available for this purpose, which can be displayed from the last 6 hours to the last 6 months:  
• Timeline (timeline diagram)
• Statistics view (pie chart) by duration can be selected per channel
• Statistics view (pie chart) by frequency can be selected per channel
• The statistics evaluation can provide data from 6 hours to 6 months on the conditions recognised in the room or only on the conditions that apply to the current patient in the room. The patient check-in date is used to display only the conditions that have occurred since the check-in date.
• An export (printout) of the statistical view with the option of adding personal comments.
• A comprehensive export of the data in CSV format (incl. Password protection) for further analyses such as personnel planning or proof of expenditure for billing.
• The capture of the live status in the room is also permanently guaranteed in the statistical display and visualised for the user with a coloured frame.

 

In addition to the basic installation of MOBOTIX HUB, MOBOTIX HUB Plug IN and MOBOTIX C71 NurseAssist, the following configuration steps are required:

• MOBOTIX C71 NurseAssit Kamera:
• Configure the "Fall Detection" types in the Kepler App Settings
• Activate the MOBOTIX HUB Analytic Event in the camera, enter the IP address of the MOBOTIX HUB server. Overwrite the default value "Auto" in the "Camera Name" field with the camera IP.
• Management Client:
• In the NuresAssist Dashboard area in the page navigation, set the NurseAssist function to "enable" so that the NurseAssist buttons are displayed in the Desk Client!
• In Rules and Events under Analytic Events, create the event "Kepler NurseAssist Event" (exact spelling required)
• Open the Options section in the Tools menu bar and activate this in the Analytic Events tab (port 9090 is the default) and define the required retention time in days for alarms and events in the next tab "Alarms and Events".
• Desk Client:
• Create a new layout (view) in Setup Mode and drag and drop the MOBOTIX NurseAssit Dashboard element from the sidebar into the corresponding tile of the layout and select the camera.

Prerequisite:

• MOBOTIX NurseAssist version 1.0 or newer
• MOBOTIX HUB Plug IN 2024-05-31 or newer
• MOBOTIX HUB from L2 to L5

Notes and Prerequisites for Using the MOBOTIX Operator - Softbuttons

In the MOBOTIX HUB Management Client after the installation of the plugin package, camera-specific Softbuttons can be defined, which execute different functions via API commands either on the camera itself or on external devices.

Further information on the plugins can be found in the MOBOTIX Community.

Some examples of many uses for the Softbuttons:

• For ultimate privacy, pixelate a predefined area in the camera image → Template Obscure Area
• Activate general arming for all cameras → Template Arming
• Deactivate the alarm system → Template Custom
• Send predefined email profiles from the selected camera including alarm image, metadata, and other information → Template Send Email with Picture

We offer predefined API commands for the following products:

• MOBOTIX IoT Cameras
• MOBOTIX IoT Cameras
• External Devices (Custom Commands)

With the Softbuttons, it is also easy to call external Websites.

In the MOBOTIX HUB Desk Client, after installing the plugin package, the configured Softbuttons can be triggered per camera element in the layout. A new symbol will be available in the toolbar at the bottom of the camera element.

Prerequisites:

• MOBOTIX Operator - Softbutton Version 1.0 or higher (Part of the plugin package)
• MOBOTIX HUB Plugin 2025-03-13 or higher
• MOBOTIX HUB from L3 to L5

Notes and Requirements for Using the MOBOTIX Operator - Discovery

In the MOBOTIX HUB Management Client, after installing the plug-in package, the Operator - Discovery tool is available. The Discovery plugin is not related to the MOBOTIX HUB Desk Client, it is only relevant for the Management Client!
For administrators, the Discovery plugin is an ideal tool to add new MOBOTIX cameras to the system faster and easier than it was previously possible via "Add New Hardware" in the HUB Management Client.

For locating the MOBOTIX cameras on the network, two communication methods are available depending on the camera family:

• The Bonjour service is a well-known service integrated into the MOBOTIX IoT cameras, offering an easy way to identify the MOBOTIX cameras on the physical network.
• The ONVIF WS Discovery method is the standard search mode for identifying ONVIF cameras supported by MOBOTIX MOVE cameras.

In the MOBOTIX Operator Discovery plugin, we have combined these two search methods to generally find the MOBOTIX cameras on the network.

Advantage of Bonjour Service: Regardless of the local IP range of the subnet, the cameras are found, even if they are in a different subnet. This allows the administrator to identify cameras available in the physical network and adjust the camera or PC network settings to bring them into the "correct" subnet. After that, the administrator can add them to the HUB using the Discovery Tool.

Limitation of the ONVIF WS Discovery: This search only looks for devices in the same subnet and is not able to find cameras in the same physical network, regardless of the subnet address.

The MOBOTIX Operator Discovery provides the following features at a glance:

• Camera Discovery:
  • Find MOBOTIX MOVE cameras in the same subnet.
  • Find MOBOTIX IoT cameras in all subnets of the same physical network (regardless of camera network settings).
• Activate ONVIF Service:
  • To use all the features of the MOBOTIX cameras, it is recommended to integrate the MOBOTIX cameras with the MOBOTIX driver. To do so, the ONVIF mode must be activated in the MOBOTIX cameras. This mode is always active for MOBOTIX MOVE cameras, while for MOBOTIX IoT cameras, the ONVIF mode must first be activated by the user via the web interface. The Discovery Plugin offers to enable the ONVIF mode for the selected cameras in the initial case (out-of-the-box cameras).
  • For MOBOTIX IoT cameras (ONVIF is always active for MOBOTIX MOVE).

• Set Camera Password:
  • Change the initial password for the cameras (out of the box case) for the user admin. Out of the box == admin:meinsm
  • The password for the camera user ‘admin’ can also be changed later at any time using the Discovery PlugIn, even if it is no longer the initial password for the camera ‘meinsm’. If the cameras have already been added to the MOBOTIX HUB VMS, the password of the cameras can be changed later. The password stored in the MOBOTIX HUB is updated automatically. Helpful function if the camera passwords have to be changed regularly to comply with the current company security rules.
• Easy Camera Addition:
  • Add cameras to the HUB recording server.
• Firmware Updates:
  • In the first version of the Discovery Plugin, it is possible to update the firmware of MOBOTIX IoT cameras and some MOVE cameras. Additional MOVE models will be supported in the future, and they can currently be updated through the "Standard ONVIF Firmware Update Function" of the MOBOTIX HUB (provided that the corresponding model supports ONVIF firmware).
• Manage Camera Passwords:
  • In the MOBOTIX Discovery Plugin, the camera credentials can be saved in the "Manage Credentials" dialog. These saved credentials will only be used in the Discovery Plugin context for firmware updates and activation of the ONVIF mode.
• Open Camera in the browser:
  • Right-click on a camera in the list to open a browser window with the selected camera. Helpful for specific camera settings before adding them to the MOBOTIX HUB VMS.
    Multiselection: If several cameras are selected, a browser window opens for each camera!

  Known Limitations:

  • Cameras can only be added to the HUB system with the MOBOTIX Driver.
  • IoT cameras that do not yet support ONVIF will be shown in the list, but cannot be added to the MOBOTIX HUB system.
  • Password change of MOVE cameras is not yet supported for the initial case (out of the box) (admin:meinsm). The system administrator must first change the password in the browser. After that, the password change function can be used at any time via the Discovery PlugIn!.
  • IoT cameras can only be added to the MOBOTIX HUB with active ONVIF mode.
  • Discovery function is available only from MOBOTIX HUB L3 and above.

  Requirements:

  • MOBOTIX Operator - Discovery Version 1.0 or newer (part of the Plugin package)
  • MOBOTIX HUB Plugin 2025-03-13 or newer
  • MOBOTIX HUB from L3 to L5
  • MOBOTIX HUB Device Driver must be installed.
  • Cameras Firmware should be up to date!

After inserting the MOBOTIX NurseAssist element, the "Fall status" of the linked "C71 NurseAssist" is displayed with a coloured icon tile in the layout. This allows the nursing staff in the "nurses' room" to have an overview of the "Fall situation" on their floor WITHOUT disturbing their privacy with a permanent live display. The tile view of the status tab can be switched to a live image if required.
  
  The following main features are available to the user:

  • Free dashboard embedding in the layout of the Desk Client of the NurseAssist element to graphically display the status of the C71 NurseAssist camera ("case status") and thereby build a status tablaue of the conditions in the patient rooms
  • In the standard view, only the status changes are displayed with coloured tiles to ensure maximum privacy for the patients Curve diagrams.
  • If required, e.g. to assess a recognised fall, it is possible to switch the corresponding status tile to live bid mode.
  • The nursing staff can also switch the status tile to live mode at the touch of a button during the night shift, for example, to protect the patient's sleep and carry out their rounds with a virtual view of the patient's room.     All Nurse Assist activities, usage and opened alarms are recorded in the logbook. Search filters make it easier to analyse the log entries later. The log entries can be exported in CSV format or password-protected in ZIP format.
  • Intercom function
    The care staff can communicate with the person in the room as required via the cameras' audio features. The operation is designed for Push to Talk/Push to Hear to prevent accidental listening in.

Clicking on an entry of the vehicle list or on the displayed graph jumps to the time in the playback in the corresponding camera. This allows the user to verify the recorded SYNC Dashboard data with the recorded video.  In the SYNC Dashboard itself, the user has further options available, such as Inspect License or context menus that can be opened by right-clicking on a list item or on the graphical view. In principle, the same options are available to the user as when directly accessing the MOBOTIX SYNC Dashboards with the browser.
  
  The following main features are available to the user:

  • Access to the MOBOTIX SYNC website via the MOBOTIX SYNC tab in the Hub Desk Client.

After inserting  the MOBOTIX CLOUD  element, the selected camera from the MOBOTIX CLOUD is displayed in the layout. The user can influence the size of the display by clicking on the camera. In the playback mode of the MOBOTIX HUB Desk Client, the familiar playback navigation elements of the CLOUD are available to the user per camera. All CLOUD cameras are automatically set to synchronous playback mode for quick viewing of related events in the CLOUDcameras.

  Thermal Dashboard Configuration option for Thermal Cameras in the Management Client

  After installing this Plug-Ins version on the Management Client computer, a new entry MOBOTIX Thermal Graphs appears in the tree structure of the Management Client below the MOBOTIX CLOUD section. There, you can make general settings for the Thermal Graphs:

  •     Temperature unit: Fahrenheit or Celsius

  Thermal Graphs Extension of the layout elements in the MOBOTIX HUB Desk Client

  After installing the Plug-Ins package, a camera layout with the new Thermal Graph element can be added to the MOBOTIX Desk Client in Setup Mode. After inserting the Thermal Graph element, the data source for the thermal temperature data is determined by the corresponding thermal camera. The user can freely choose from which Hotspot or Thermal Measuring window the temperature curves should be drawn. Through specific threshold values, a color visualization can inform the user when the temperature threshold value is exceeded or undercut.

  In layouts, temperature curves of the Hotspots or Thermal Measurement windows of a MOBOTIX thermal camera can also be combined with the camera stream in a layout. This allows the user to monitor the current temperature condition of his system and he can also analyze the temperature curve in the past. This evaluation helps to identify and avoid risks.

  The following main features are available to the user:

  • Thermal Spot Area: Visualisation of the image area in which the temperature was detected.
  • Dual Image Support: Better assignment on the image sensor by mirroring the marked area of the detected temperature from the thermal sensor (small deviations are possible due to different focal lengths due to the system).

  After installing this Plug-Ins version on the Management Client computer, there is an additional entry MOBOTIX HUB Configuration > Device Configuration in the tree structure of the Management Client under the Transact area. There, additional options for configuring IoT and MOVE camera models can be (de-)activated. By default, all options are enabled there. As a result, after selecting an IoT or MOVE camera in the Devices > Cameras area or in the Server > Recording Server area in the tree structure of the Management Client, additional tabs are available to set the corresponding camera parameters for the selected camera.

  In addition to the Search Agent function to extend the Desk Client with additional functions for searching for MOBOTIX IoT camera-specific events and App data, this version of the HUB Plug-Inss contains two new additional function enhancements. The functions of the existing Search Agent feature enhancement are unchanged in this release.

  Vaxtor-Helix function

  After installation and configuration of the present HUB Plug-Ins, a new register is available within the MOBOTIX HUB Desk Client in which the web-based user interface of a connected Helix-6 system can be operated. Helix-6 is a back-office system from Vaxtor (a subsidiary of MOBTIX AG), with which, among other things, parking and access control applications based on the license plates automatically identified by special cameras, such as an MOBOTIX 7, can be implemented.

  Configuration and use of the Vaxtor Helix function

  After installing the HUB Plug-Ins on the Management Client computer of the MOBOTIX HUB system, there is an additional entry MOBOTIX Helix in the tree structure of the Management Client below the Transact area. In the dialog displayed in this way, a name, the connection data to the installed Helix 6 system and optionally desired user restrictions must  be entered. The name given here is then used to display an additional register of the same name in the connected Desk Clients of the MOBOTIX HUB system, in which the web-based user interface of the Helix 6 system is offered. There, among other things, the cameras to be used can be configuredand the other functions of the system can be used.

  Note on using MOBOTX 7 cameras with Vaxtor LPR apps

  To connect the camera and transmit identified license plates to a Helix 6 system, the configuration dialogs of the individual Vaxtor Apps contain a Vaxtor Helix6 section. There, the necessary settings for the Helix 6 server to be used are made.

  MOBOTIX Cloud function

  After installation and configuration of the HUB Plug-Ins, a new register is available within the MOBOTIX HUB Desk Client in which the web-based user interface of an existing MOBOTIX Cloud system can be operated.

  Configuration and use of the MOBOTIX Cloud function

  After installing the HUB Plug-Ins on the Management Client computer of the MOBOTIX HUB system, there is an  additional entry MOBOTIX Cloud in the tree structure of the Management Client below  the Transact area.   An additional VaxALPR search area can then be displayed in the Search dialog of the Desk Client. This allows the result data of the App of the same name for MOBOTIX 7 camera to be searched for a license plate to be entered. By displaying this search area several times, it is also possible to search for several licenses at the same time.
