The MOBOTIX HUB driver optimally integrates the MOBOTIX cameras into the
MOBOTIX HUB. This driver is based on the ONVIF standard and has been
extended by specific adaptations that are not included in the ONVIF
standard. This enables optimal integration of the MOBOTIX cameras into the
MOBOTIX HIUB VMS for better utilisation of the MOBOTIX DNA.
Main
features of the MOBOTIX HUB Driver for MOBOTIX cameras:
- Support of MOBOTIX IOT cameras of the P6 and P7 series (e.g. M16, Q26,
P71, M73 etc.)
- Codec support MJPEG, MxPeg and H.264 (H.265 only with P7 cameras) for
MOBOTIX IOT cameras
- Codec support for MOVE cameras MJPEG and H.264 / H265
- Dynamic integration of event profiles from MOBOTIX IOT cameras. This
makes it easier to create rules in the MOBOTIX HUB by adopting the
internal camera-specific profile names, e.g. Garage Door.
- Supports ALL event categories of the MOBTIX IOT cameras in contrast to
the existing MOBOTIX M/D/V/S driver which only supports four event
categories.
- Integration of the camera SD card
- Prerequisite: ONVIF G support of the affected
camera is required! P7 and MOVE cameras that are ONVIF G certified
support these SD card modes
- The following modes are possible
- SD card as failover medium.
- SD card as buffer medium for time-delayed transmission to relieve
the recording server or for better load distribution of the Internet
bandwidth (e.g. outside opening hours) at distributed locations.
- Direct SD card access. For use where the camera only saves the
data on the SD card.

Important Installation Notes
- The system requirements are described in the
release notes of the MOBOTIX HUB software system, which must be
installed first.
- Prerequisite for using the new MOBOTIX HUB Driver:
- Latest camera firmware
- MOBOTIX HUB 2023 R1 or newer (older versions have not been
explicitly tested)
After installing the driver, two new driver types are offered in the
MOBOTIX HUB under the "MOBOTIX" driver branch:

MOBOTIX IOT Cameras
- MOBOTIX
MOVE Cameras
The existing / previous drivers for MOBOTIX can still be selected, the new
ones complement the driver variety.
Note: For older models such as
P2 and P3 MOBOTIX
IOT cameras, the existing
MOBOTIX M/D/V/S driver must
be used.
MOBOTIX IOT cameras Installation instructions
- ONVIF G must be activated in the MOBOTIX IOT cameras in the "Admin"
area in the "Integration protocols" menu.
- The admin password and ONVIF admin password of the cameras should be
identical.
- Currently, the Edge Retrieval function will only work if permanent
recording is activated on the SD Card.
*Note: The camera may need to be
restarted if the edge retrieval is not working.
MOBOTIX MOVE cameras Installation instructions
- Install latest Camera Firmware.
Known Limitations:
- When an event is recorded on the SD card, the events are not
displayed with a color in the timeline of the Desk Client.
Best Practice:
When adding new cameras, please note that the automatic search
(Express) cannot clearly define the driver with which the camera is to
be integrated.
It is therefore advisable and also much faster to specify a manual
search with the IP range, whereby the new driver can be preselected.
This process must be carried out once for the MOBOTIX IOT cameras and
once for the MOBOTIX MOVE cameras!
